M.E is an illness. M.E stands for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. It affects people in a variety of ways, common symptoms being, fatigue, cognitive problems memory loss, aches and pains, dietry and digestive problems. One symptom that is overiding for the majority of symptoms is overriding and overwhelming fatigue. Also Cognitive functioning, attention and poor memory is often present with M.E. It is quite common to have "Brain Fog!"
Symptoms are: Flue like malaise. Exhaustion more severe than ordinary tiredness and unreleved by a nights rest, Muscles painful to touch. poor concentration. Difficulty learning new information. Poor memory. Muddled or slurred speech when tired. Poor balance, feeling unsteady, clumsiness, dropping things, Dizziness on standing, Headaches, Sore throats. Fibromyalgia.... Chronic Pain, Chronic fatigue, Lack of R.E.M sleep, headaches, migraines, Muscle spasms, Difficulty judging distances and widths, Blurred Vision, Intolerance to alcohol.also many symptoms linked to M.E. The group works well with both illnesses as we share many of the same symptoms. This causes much merriment between us all when we cannot remember what our names are etc. You see we do laugh!
